The appearance and development of Perfect Forms

in the English Language

The article considers appearance of perfect forms in English. It observes the history of

perfect development giving comparison of perfect functions in English and other lan-

guages. The features of Perfect in old and Middle English are described and illustrated

by examples of using Perfect by English authors in Middle English fiction.
