On using folklore texts when teaching Russian

to foreign students in technical university

The article discusses usage of folklore texts in teaching Russian as a foreign language in

classes at a technical university. The author invites her readers to ponder on challengers

foreigners face when adapting to an unfamiliar language and culture. She shares her

enthusiasm about effectiveness of involving folklore texts in the process of teaching and

gives her readers a chance to enjoy some of her own experience in vivid examples.
