The paper presents a competitive analysis of the Internet service providers in Moscow. Its objective is to identify main competitive advantages and disadvantages of each provider, as well as to determine their positioning in the communication services market. Based on reviews in the social networks, key performance indicators of the companies under study are identified and characterized, including connection speed and stability, variety in tariff plans, quality of services and technical support. In accordance with the identified characteristics, the telecom operators typology is created, which includes the following groups: largest providers, medium-sized providers and niche providers. Main criteria in their identification are the number of users and periodicity in the media references. The proposed typology is intended to provide consistency in understanding the communication services market in Moscow and to show opportunities in their expansion.
