This article seeks to examine the first attempts to combine the doctrines of Sigmund Freud and Karl Marx. It is shown that psychoanalysis as a whole is a materialistic, dialectical and revolutionary theory. Attention is drawn to the fact that psychoanalysis can be well combined with other philosophical theories: existentialism, structuralism, postmodernism.
