Globalization, modernization of national economy and development of small entrepreneurship

The article considers the problems, which predetermined the necessity of modernization of the national economy (and its subsystems) and caused by the processes of globalization. The main challenge in the economic sphere of Russia for the next 10 years discusses the need for repositioning the country in the global economy, the raw material specialization which is not able to ensure sustainable development, increasing the level and quality of life of the population. Russia's development in the near future should be based on the use of such key competitive advantages, as: resource territorial potential of the creative potential of citizens. Thanks to high-capacity innovative capacity, the propensity to innovation, small business is transformed into a significant factor of modernization of the national economy.
