Epilogue of the Great Victory: The Great Patriotic War
in the memory of BMSTU students

The article discusses the results of a sociological survey conducted in BMSTU on the
issue of reflection of the Great Patriotic War events in the historical memory of the
younger generation. It is shown that in the assessment of the outcome of the last war,
most BMSTU students are based on value orientations of historical memory of the Great
Patriotic War, inherent in the public consciousness of Russians. At the same time it was
found that there has been a decline of interest in the events of the last war and there have
been some changes in the evaluation of the results of the Great Victory among the youth.
The dependence of the degree of young people interest in the military past on the mecha-
nism of historical memory translation was revealed.

memory translation.
