The paper considers main risks posed by the alleged transhumanist programs of transforming the human nature: risk of violence arising between ordinary people and posthumans, risk of losing sociocultural and psychological diversity, risk of decreased creativity due to reaching the highest limit, risk of abandoning the principles of humanism and risk of unintentional negative consequences of the scientific activity. Ways to reduce or eliminate them are provided. It is shown that two poles are present in the global transhumanist movement: moderate and radical transhumanists. Moderate transhumanists recognize the human nature transformation within its essence and the preservation of a modern person, while the radical transhumanists suggest going beyond these limits and assume that humanity could be replaced by a new kind of intelligent beings. Conclusions are drawn on incompatibility of radical transhumanism and humanism, and that humanity would assume its disappearance, and would select the path of moderate transhumanism.
