The paper analyzes experience in implementing the digital formats formed in the regional education system. It considers the educational results for 2020–2022. The analysis is based on data of the authors’ sociological research on identification of the risk factors and manifestation in the regional system of the risk profile indicators in the modern educational organization (on the Irkutsk Region materials). Polar significant differences between urban and rural institutions in material and technical equipment, as well as in methodological support of the digital learning are revealed. A number of factors of objective and subjective origin determine the reduced educational results for the specified period (negative dynamics of more than three times). The objective factors include discrepancy between the educational organization resources and the digital standards, economic indicators of social well-being of the students’ family, level of the educational organization IT infrastructure, and degree of accessibility in obtaining quality education in a particular area of the depressive region. Among the subjective factors, the paper highlights the most typical difficulties for the region in building positive emotional background at the distant lesson, decrease in congruence, level of involvement and motivation of the students and specific fatigue of all participants in the educational process. The idea of the irrational reality destructive influence in the current social reality is substantiated. The established managerialism and formalism of the criteria for assessing both academic performance and professional qualifications of the pedagogical community testify to dehumanization and devaluation of education. As a counter to the spread of schools with low educational results, targeted specification of municipal indicators in general education, expansion of the content of the main activities of the municipal program by implementing measures to prevent and correct the learning difficulties, as well as mandatory support of public and business associations and representatives of employers in management of schools with poor educational outcomes are proposed. Due to the increase in the number of such schools during the distance learning dominance period, not only organizational and management, but also the socio-philosophical understanding of the digital formats experience of the educational space is required due to the impact of the rationality types of the current social reality.
