Science as the socio-innovation activity

The paper formulates universal innovation laws, which observance is a necessary condition for their effectiveness. Unlike classical science, modern science is not a purely cognitive activity, but, above all, the activity aimed at producing innovations (various kinds of the user values: goods, equipment, technologies, etc.). Innovations (creation, evaluation and implementation thereof) are socially regulated. Modern science became the leading link in the society economic system; it is regulated by economic laws and criteria (exchange and user value of knowledge, marketing of scientific innovations, their profitability, technological value, social significance, etc.).
