The paper studies the influence of information and network technologies on the state of society and their ability to change the conflict potential, gives some recommendations to minimize the dangerous consequences of the influence of a subject using the most advanced means of communication to foment a large-scale conflict, and formulates a scientific hypothesis that the ratio of objective and subjective causes of conflict in the information network society is changing towards subjective ones.
