Convertibility of coexistence into social capital: socio-philosophical analysis

The article considers coexistence as a mechanism for the realization of jointness, based on the author’s definition of jointness as a fundamental basis of social existence and specifies the levels of coexistence. In order to substantiate the convertibility of coexistence into social capital, diversity of social capital understanding is presented, the reasons for its ambiguous interpretation are investigated. The author’s definition of “social capital” is given and its fundamental characteristics such as resourcefulness, actualization and profitability are highlighted. These characteristics allow analyzing the convertibility of coexistence into social capital at three levels: individual-personal, structural-organizational and macrosocial. Their role in the increment of the public good and the expansion of the social content of the jointness of being is shown. The characteristic of the convertibility of coexistence into social capital is presented in the form of a final table.
