The article considers philosophical and methodological principles of training forest engineers, their object of activity is nature. It has been established that it is necessary to develop and apply the hermeneutic approach in its ontological, practical-cognitive and spiritual-moral aspects. Establishing the existential status of nature, the relation between human and natural existence fosters a morally understanding attitude to nature as a subject, forms a new character of technology, consistent with nature and man, creates the prerequisites for ensuring the ecology of the natural environment, man and education.
