The article justifies the relevance of the analysis of the experiment features in rocket and space technology. It is shown that the lack of unambiguously understood language terminology in this industry complicates experimental procedures. The importance of a philosophical approach to solving this problem is emphasized. The special emphasis is placed on main stages of experimental research. Their features are considered. It is indicated that mistakes made at the planning stage are often impossible to correct in the future. The necessity of qualitative and quantitative analysis of the test object is proved. The methodological significance of the philosophical categories "quality" and "quantity" and their relationship in this analysis is accentuated. The advisability of applying the principle of analogy in complex and inaccessible experiments is evaluated. It is pointed out that the experiment should not be formalized; it requires flexibility, constant critical evaluation of the results and forms of performing. This justifies the need for creative approaches in performing experiments. The importance and effectiveness of collective forms of creativity in research is shown. Foreign techniques of organization and work of creative groups are of a particular interest. The necessity of combining domestic and foreign experience of collective forms of creativity is justified. A novelty of this work is the experiment feature analysis in the rocket-and- space industry. Conclusions and recommendations for further research in this direction are presented.
