Influence of informatization and development of information and communication technologies on the formation of a new social reality

The paper focuses on the sociocultural and technological indicators of the information society, determines the principles of creating a global information society, and specifies the features of such society which are formed in developed countries as a result of the informatization process. Informatization is considered as the most important condition for creating a new social reality. The positive and negative trends in the formation of this reality are revealed.
