The youth policy in the USSR: achievements and miscalculations

This article considers the phenomenon of youth policy in the USSR from 1917 to 1991, indicates its specific characteristics, formation stages. The positive and negative features of youth policy in the USSR, the influence of the dominant in society Communist ideology and the CPSU on it are shown. Some features having led to the collapse of youth policy and the state in 1991 are revealed in terms of social philosophy. The “lessons” for the future that Russian state structures responsible for working with young people can learn from the experience of the USSR are shown.
