Moral aspects of freedom in cyberspace

The paper examines the impact of information and communication technologies on the understanding of freedom in conditions of technogenic society. This article discusses moral and ethical aspects of the problem of virtual freedom (freedom in cyberspace) in modern ethical concepts (virtual, network, information and computer ethics). Such an applied aspect of freedom as freedom of access to confidential information is investigated. The paper analyzes the concept of informational ethics by L. Floridi, computer ethics by R. Kapurro, confidential ethics by R. Bray. A conclusion about the dual nature of freedom in the information society is made. The need for interdisciplinary efforts in the study of freedom as a culture universal in modern times is noted
