The article considers interrelation of phenomenological theory with some other directions of modern social and philosophical discourse, first of all — existentialism. The conclusion was drawn that it is improper to non-critically bring together social phenomenology and existentialism, as well as that there is a connection between phenomenological sociology and postanalytic philosophy.
