Non-classical secondary education in the context of the Russia’s historical development in the second half of XIX - early XX century

The article discusses the problems of non-classical secondary education in the Russian Empire. The objectives and results of school reforms of the XIX century as well as the activities of the Ministry of Public Education are considered. The article focuses on a struggle between the supporters and opponents of non-classical secondary education in Russia.
