Prolonged discussion about totalitarianism

The article delves into the reasons of appearing the term "totalitarianism" in the western and domestic political vocabulary. The research relies on the existing historiography and indicates that this term is much less scientific than political. We analyze reasons of using this term in the Russian academic environment.
