The paper introduces a study of the organization of students’ case study practice on a digital platform. Rapid digitalization and the transition to online education pose new challenges for the higher education system in terms of training highly qualified personnel that meet the conditions and requirements of the labor market. Digital education attracts not only pedagogical, but also technical personnel to implement the tasks and goals imposed on it, and ensure the high quality of the functioning of the platforms. Meanwhile, in order to develop a truly high-quality product, future professionals should understand the specifics of digital online education and education in general. In practice, students should acquire real skills that are on the periphery of their technical education and pedagogy. Higher education is faced with the task of not only providing students with the necessary knowledge, but also creating conditions for developing competencies in the field of application of this knowledge. It is possible to organize such work when students do their case study practice on a digital platform. Practice in an institution which deals with digital education, built in the format of real professional situations, will allow students to plunge into the sphere of possible future professional activity. Consequently, this will help students understand the structure of the organization of work in the specialty, analyze their own strengths and weaknesses, the zone of further development, and make an informed choice in the field of their future profession. The paper considers the potential organization of students’ practice in a higher educational institution, its main possible directions and features, case scenarios and the results of the work done.
