The paper focuses on F. Herzberg’s two-factor motivation model as an instrument for the effective management of human activity. The paper studies the application of the model through the example of an industrial enterprise and deals with the fundamental principles of the model. Herzberg’s theory describes the structure of personnel needs, their relationship with the processes of encouraging employees to work and achieve the desired result. In this research, we examined the main factors of motivation and their influence on labor activity, and by using the expert evaluation method we assessed the influence of hygiene factors and motivators on the personnel of an industrial enterprise before and after organizational changes
